Reasonable Suspicion:  Drug & Alcohol Training for Supervisors

With the federal alcohol and drug regulations, employers have the responsibility of determining when a “reasonable suspicion” test should be administered.

You also need to know how to approach, interact and convey information.  The information in this training session is designed to help you take on this responsibility with confidence.

Objectives:  After completing this training session, you should:

Every reasonable suspicion situation will vary.  This training contains several activities that will help you identify the physical, behavioral, speech and performance indicators of probable alcohol misuse and drug abuse.  It will discuss “reasonable suspicion” and give you some guidelines for approaching those employees where reasonable suspicion exists. 

This training meets the DOT federal regulations of 60 minutes of alcohol misuse and 60 minutes of drug abuse training.
