JOB DESCRIPTION 
Processing Account Manager 1 - Financial Services

Role:  Actively participate in team consisting primarily of Financial Services Marketing Specialists.  Will have some contact with Sales/Account Executive, Processing and Servicing Account Manager in coordinating and providing IMA services to our commercial clients of moderate to least complexity.

  Major Duties and Responsibilities    
(E) Essential or (N) Nonessential
50%  Responsible for processing all policies, endorsements, etc. E
20% Accountable for maintaining account files including Sagitta data base, core files, transactional files, and policy scanning. E
10% Responsible for billing and invoicing house account files, as well as verifying and reconciling accuracy of premiums and commissions. E
5% Set up and maintain follow up for contingent items for carriers. E
15% Actively support the team by participating in the completion of all duties required to complete a project and service an account. E
  Expectations:  
 
  1. Complete all duties in accordance with IMA workflow standards.
  2. Treat clients, company personnel and associates with respect and courtesy.
  3. Strive for 100% accuracy in policy processing and other functions.
  4. Involvement in IRMI Online D&O, EPL and Fiduciary Liability classes.
 
  Knowledge and Skills:  
Experience: 

Six months to two years of similar or related experience.

Education: 

Equivalent to a two year college degree or completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school.

Interpersonal Skills: Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy are essential elements of the job.  Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization, generally regarding routine matters for purposes of giving or obtaining information which may require some discussion.
  Other Skills:

Prefer college graduate. Strong written and oral communications skills.  Ability to interpret insurance documents.  Math skill required involves familiarity with ratios, percentages, discounts and commissions.  Requires strong common sense, ability to handle standard situations and handle and prioritize multiple tasks.  Property and casualty license required for state of business. Must fulfill continuing education requirements to retain license. Strong computer proficiency. Willingness to complete additional duties or take on added responsibilities as the need arises.

Operational Latitude (Reasoning/Decision Making):
Specific standards and operating procedures provide some options and latitude for independent decision and action.  Decisions are usually limited to choosing between two or three options.  There is minimal room for discretion.

Mental Process:
Problems encountered are relatively simple in nature, requiring some analysis or research to determine the best solution from a limited number of prescribed options.
