Responsibilities
  • Responsible for responding to verbal account servicing needs during the policy year to include:  endorsements, certificates, binders, auto ID cards, and coordination with claims and loss control.  Accountability for maintaining account files to include Sagitta data base, core file and transactional file.
  • Responsible for preparing the proposal of final coverages for the client and for negotiating coverage and premium issues with the company on renewal business as needed.
  • Coordinates the preparation of renewal submissions including gathering information, marketing and/or delivery of submission to underwriters, assisting in quote negotiations of coverage and pricing, and client account review meetings.
Experience and Education
  • Six months to two years of similar or related experience.
  • Equivalent to a two-year college degree or completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school.
Preferred Skills
  • Prefer college graduate.
  • Strong written and oral communications skills. 
  • Ability to interpret insurance documents. 
  • Math skill required involves familiarity with ratios, percentages, discounts and commissions. 
  • Requires strong common sense, ability to handle standard situations and handle and prioritize multiple tasks. 
  • Property and casualty license required for state of business. 
  • Must have general certificate of insurance and fulfill continuing education requirements to retain license. 
  • Strong computer proficiency. 
  • Occasional travel.
