Responsibilities
  • Technical and consulting role for new business.  Support Producers in closing new business.
  • Requires 96% client retention for assigned book of business.  Supports department revenue goals.  Client contacts per department requirements.  Develop and implement formal service plan.
  • Primary responsibility for renewal management. Develops strong client relationships. Identifies and capitalizes on revenue opportunities with existing clients, growing book with    sale of additional benefits.
  • Provide ongoing technical/consulting service to the customer.
  • Continuously seeks to improve work processes to improve services to clients and internally to improve efficiency.
  • Continuously seeks to improve technical skills, knowledge and expertise through self study classes, etc., formally/informally to gain knowledge.
Experience and Education
  • Five years to ten years of similar or related experience.
  • Equivalent to a college degree.
Preferred Skills
  • The ability to motivate or influence others is a material part of the job, requiring a significant level of diplomacy and trust.  Obtaining cooperation (internally and/or externally) is an important part of the job.
  • Excellent communication skills required for sales proposals, building client relationships, negotiating renewals and presentation development.  
  • Must understand concepts of underwriting and actuarial computations.  
  • Requires current Life, Accident and Health license for Kansas and other states as needed.  
  • Computer proficiency.  
  • Working knowledge of EBMS.  
  • Travel overnight required.
  • Strong analysis and reasoning skills.
