
Role:
This position is responsible for servicing, marketing and renewing assigned accounts plus accounts receivable management for all accounts in the individual's book of business. This position is responsible for a moderate to large volume of assigned business. Sales aptitude and qualities required.

| 20% | Develop and maintain proactive communication level with clients, production staff and other associates. This includes handling client and/or insurance company questions/issues concerning services rendered or referring complaints of service failures to the appropriate management staff for investigation and resolution. | E | |
| 20% | Participate in preparation of new and renewal submissions and obtain underwriting information. | E | |
| 10% | Develop a service plan tailored to client's needs and learn how to coordinate the services of other IMA departments (Risk Management, Claims, Surety, Benefits, etc). | E | |
| 10% | Participate in developing marketing strategy for renewals and new business including cultivating and maintaining good communication with insurance markets. | E | |
| 10% | Develop sales of new or additional lines of coverage or services on existing accounts. | E | |
| 5% | Responsible for collection of all account receivable items in accordance with IMA Accounts Receivable Policy. | E | |
| 5% | Communicate to Account Managers regarding the account review information and the bind coverage information in conjunction with workflow standards. | E | |
| 5% | Attend education classes, seminars, workshops, etc., in combination with individual study programs to expand knowledge and skills to retain a book of business. This includes maintaining and communicating up-to-date knowledge of market conditions, pricing strategies, market/product option etc. to all team members and Producers. | E | |
| 5% | Actively support the department by participating in the completion of all duties required to complete a project and service an account. | E | |
| 10% | Conduct periodic coverage and risk reviews to ensure the adequacy of the client's program design. | E | |

At least ten years similar or related experience. |

Equivalent to a college degree. |

| Interpersonal Skills: | Work involves extensive personal contact with members of the Board of Directors, the CEO,business leaders, and internal managers. Motivating others or getting them to do things that they might not do otherwise is a key to success for incumbents in this position. External contacts are vital, not only for the success of the position, but the success of the company overall. | ||
| Other Skills: |
Bachelor's Degree and/or over 10 years of commercial insurance sales, management, training experience required. Excellent written and oral communication skills required. Mathematical abilities and reasoning skills necessary. Ability to interpret insurance documents is required. Requires strong common sense, ability to handle standard situations and handle and prioritize multiple tasks. Property and casualty license required for state of business. Must fulfill continuing education requirements to retain license. Strong computer proficiency. Willingness to complete additional duties and take on additional responsibility as the need arises. |
