JOB DESCRIPTION 
Servicing Account Manager 2

Role:

Actively participate in team consisting of Sales/Account Executives, Processing and Servicing Account Managers in coordinating and providing IMA services to our commercial clients of moderate to high complexity.  Assist in the training and growth of team members. 

  Major Duties and Responsibilities    
(E) Essential or (N) Nonessential
40%  In conjunction with PAM, responsible for account servicing needs during the policy year including binders, certificates, auto ID cards, filings, endorsements etc.  Accountable for maintaining account files including Sagitta data base, core files and transactional files. Responsible for resolving coverage and premium discrepancy issues. E
30% Coordinates the preparation of renewal submissions including gathering information,marketing and/or delivery of submissions to underwriters and coordinate strategy meetings and participate in client account review meetings. E
20% Responsible for preparing the proposal of final coverages for the client and for negotiating coverage and premium issues with the company on renewal business as needed. E
5% Assist in training and growth of team members or other associates as needed. E
5% Actively support the team by participating in the completion of all duties required to complete a project and service an account. E
  Expectations:  
 
  1. Complete all duties in accordance with IMA workflow standards.
  2. Treat clients, company personnel and associates with respect and courtesy.
  3. Must have General Certificate of Insurance and be involved in professional designation programs such as CISR, AU, CPCU etc. 
 
  Knowledge and Skills:  
Experience: 

Two years to five years of similar or related experience.

Education: 

Equivalent to a two-year college degree or completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school.

Interpersonal Skills: A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required, in addition to normal courtesy and tact.  Work involves extensive personal contact with others and/or can be of a personal or sensitive nature.  Work may involve motivating or influencing others.  Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) becomes necessary.
  Other Skills:

Prefer college graduate. Strong written and oral communications skills.  Ability to interpret insurance documents.  Math skill required involves familiarity with ratios, percentages, discounts and commissions.  Requires strong common sense, ability to handle standard situations and handle and prioritize multiple tasks.  Property and casualty license required for state of business.  Must fulfill continuing education requirements to retain license. Strong computer proficiency.  Willingness to complete additional duties and take on additional responsibility as the need arises. 
 
Operational Latitude (Reasoning/Decision Making):
Diversified procedures, specialized job standards, and specific policies limit the latitude permitted for independent judgment.  Work requires analytical ability, judgment and ingenuity. There is a moderate amount of discretion available in the job.  
 
Mental Process:
Problems encountered are somewhat complex, requiring analysis of data; weighing the outcomes of a decision.  Problems are generally similar in nature, with previous precedent to draw upon.
